Bio

Katherine (Katie) Anderson is a fellowship trained reconstructive urologist with a focus in neurourology. She received her medical degree at the University of Minnesota and then completed her residency in urology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then pursued a fellowship in Genitourinary Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota, which was a program focused on the care of individuals with neurogenic bladder. She is currently an assistant professor of urology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She also serves as the associate fellowship program director for the Genitourinary Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship.

Her clinical interests include neurogenic bladder from congenital and acquired causes as well as urologic congenitalism. She also enjoys treating urethral and ureteral stricture disease, incontinence, genitourinary fistula, and urinary complications of pelvic radiation. Her research interests include advancing quality of life and perioperative care for individuals with neurogenic bladder, as well as investigating new strategies to treat and prevent soft tissue damage following pelvic radiation.
